“By using expansive and naturally beautiful topography, Klein and her collaborators create indelible images that would be impossible to stage in a single theatre space…the spectacular overload is thrilling.”
~Julia Whitworth, Theatre Journal
Since 2002, Double Edge Theatre has created a highly visual and imaginative performance known as the indoor/outdoor Summer Performance Spectacle that takes place annually on the grounds of the company’s 100-acre Farm Center. Drawing inspiration from myths and classical literature, the ensemble, along with local stone masons, mosaic artists, painters, and puppetmakers utilize the fertile landscape of Double Edge’s Farm Center as the stage. The audience is led through the hills, pastures, ponds, barns, and fields on a dreamlike and evocative adventure, where surprise and invention abound.
