Immigration: A Gathering

A discussion that aims to bring our community together around questions surrounding immigration. The forum will be led by acclaimed author Ilan Stavans, with special guest contributors/ responders from Ashfield, the Hilltowns, and the Pioneer Valley. This deep-dive conversation will wonder out loud how a rural hilltown can think, understand and respond to the questions surrounding immigration in these times of change.

Immigration: A Gathering is part of a series of events exploring the relationship between culture, community, and democracy, in conjunction with Double Edge’s Ashfield Town Spectacle and Culture Fair, June 3 & 4.  The event will be co-presented by The Congregational Church, St. John’s Episcopal Church and The Ashfield Lakehouse. Light refreshments will be served, and further informal conversation (and music by Double Edge) will follow at the Ashfield Lakehouse.

Free to the public, reservations recommended (email us at Donations are encouraged and all proceeds will go towards the Uriona-Klein International and Latino Training Fund.  Uriona-Klein Fund believes art and culture transcend all borders and supports the training, mentorship, and travel for international emerging artists and Latino artists from the U.S. and beyond.
