Hannah Jarrell: Associate Director, Ensemble
Hannah Jarrell began working with the company in 2006. She has developed roles in seven Summer Spectacle performances, including Penelope in The Odyssey, and has most recently delighted in incorporating stilts and flying in her performance work, as seen in her roles in Shahrazad and Once a Blue Moon - Cada Luna Azul. She is also a training leader for Double Edge’s student programs and leads K-12 programming. In this capacity she directed local youth in the Ashfield Town Spectacle and led a major part of the parade. Jarrell is currently working on Double Edge’s new indoor performance Leonora and Alejandro: La Maga y el Maestro, set to premiere in March 2018 at Peak Performances at Montclair State University.
Jarrell currently serves on the board of the Fostering Art and Culture Project. Prior to Double Edge, she was Managing Director and Performer with Time & Space Limited, an experimental theatre group and community arts organization in upstate New York, where she spent four years. She is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX where she received her BA in Theatre, German, and Spanish, and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College.
