Kelly Shannon

Kelly Shannon (she/they) is a writer, performing artist, and PhD student who has been working with Double Edge Theatre in various forms since first arriving for an Artist Immersion in 2018, and hasn’t been able to stay away ever since! Over the years, she has worked across the organization as an immersion student, apprentice, mentorship resident, performer, and now Administrative Associate, with work ranging from training and performance to archives, grassroots outreach, and box office management.
As an English Literature PhD student at New York University, Kelly studies how narrative forms shift and mutate under conditions of crisis ordinariness. Her research lives at the intersection of critical theory, performance studies, affect, and consciousness.
