In The Name Of The Mother Tree
A new theatrical ceremony inspired by Alexis Pauline Gumbs’ M Archive: After the End of the World and Dub: Finding Ceremony. ITNO explores the magic, mystery, and medicine of a people charged with remembering their ancestors’ earth-saving rituals.
Presented by Jupiter Performance Studio (NY) as part of the Constellations Festival — Double Edge’s outdoor festival highlighting DE’s partnerships, part of the 40th anniversary celebration of RITES.
After many residencies over the past five years, Jupiter Performance Studio’s director Ebony Noelle Golden is sharing her long-awaited outdoor work with our audience. We are full of gratitude for this moment. — Stacy Klein
