Rainbow Exodus premiered at our Farm Center in 2022, at a moment when “LGBT-free zones” were appearing across municipalities and regions of Poland—public declarations that LGBTQ+ people were unwelcome. From this charged landscape emerges one man’s journey to break free from the confines of his conservative upbringing, setting out from his homeland in search of a place where he can live openly and wholly, without hiding.

Following each performance, there will be a respondency with the creative team.

Double Edge resides on the ancestral homelands of the Nipmuc, Pocumtuck, and Abenaki Confederacy. We acknowledge and recognize the Indigenous Peoples who reside here and those who have lived, cultivated, and travelled on these lands for millennia. Their presence must be named after having been invisibilized for hundreds of years.

On the platform of Art Justice, we build equity and solidarity with the deliberation and intentionality. This commitment includes the artists with whom we collaborate; the neighbors with whom we trade or work; our residency and training participants; and the consultants who helped to guide us.
