Double Edge Company & Ensemble is deeply involved with its Ashfield community, and many local neighbors (artists, craftspeople, business owners, builders, stone masons, excavators, farmers) contribute to life on the Farm year-round. Through its collaborations and inclusive and varied programming, Double Edge brings this model of living culture to the communities where it tours performances.

Fly on bungees, sing and play music, and learn about DE’s Ashfield history and ongoing renovation and preservation of the beautiful Farm!
The Open Training consists of a two-hour training session led by the ensemble, followed by a light meal with the company and a tour of our center. This is an ideal opportunity to get a sense of what we do and how we work. All levels – even the simply curious– are welcome to attend.
Resident and guest artists and ensembles regularly perform work at Double Edge. Double Edge has also hosted concerts, workshops, visual arts exhibits by local artists, and other community events.
Convenings for artists in the field of performing arts are also regularly hosted at the Farm. All events are streamed live on the web.
Double Edge Internships are full-time, paid positions with housing and stipends included.
The impact of the Double Edge experience is made possible in part by amazing, creative volunteer efforts. We welcome your contribution!
Residency projects have ranged from design to dramaturgy, from retreat to writing, from performance creation to training, and participation in DE’s Conversations series.
