Double Edge resides on the ancestral homelands of the Nipmuc, Pocumtuck, and the Wabanaki Confederacy. We acknowledge and recognize the Indigenous Peoples who reside here and those who have lived, cultivated, and travelled on these lands for millennia. Their presence must be named after having been invisibilized for hundreds of years.

We also name and honor Susannah Honesty and Heber Honestman, two formerly enslaved people who were the original founders of Huntstown, now called Ashfield.

On the platform of Art Justice, we build equity and solidarity with deliberation and intentionality. This commitment includes the artists with whom we collaborate; the neighbors with whom we trade or work; our residency and training participants; and the consultants who helped to guide us. The mission / values / vision / work of Double Edge will always reflect the larger population of our region / our state / our country.
