The Professional Spectacle Immersion is a unique opportunity to be fully immersed in all aspects of Double Edge’s annual Summer Spectacle performance project. The program begins with a training foundation and is followed by four weeks of immersive production work on the building of the performance, through extensive tech work as well as performance integration. There are then three weeks of performance.
We also name and honor Susannah Honesty and Heber Honestman, two formerly enslaved people who were the original founders of Huntstown, now called Ashfield.
On the platform of Art Justice, we build equity and solidarity with deliberation and intentionality. This commitment includes the artists with whom we collaborate; the neighbors with whom we trade or work; our residency and training participants; and the consultants who helped to guide us. The mission / values / vision / work of Double Edge will always reflect the larger population of our region / our state / our country.
